zaza' è lieta di annunciare la sua partecipazione al Basel Social Club con una presentazione personale di Alessandro di Pietro. L'edizione di quest'anno si svolge in una nuova location e con un nuovo formato: un evento di una settimana all'aria aperta nei campi coltivati, tra gli alberi e tra i fienili di Bruderholz, Basilea.

L'artista presenterà una nuova installazione scultorea site specific, che continua i suoi studi su “Fade Paw”. Le sculture sono studi sul diventare mostri: mettono in discussione l'alterità dei corpi disabili, che l'artista spesso trasforma in narrazioni più complesse che nascono dalla sua stratificazione cinematografica di riferimenti e da un vocabolario formale distintivo.

La serie di 4 sculture intitolata “Fade Paw Studies”, presentata per il Basel Social Club, consiste in alcuni studi scultorei in bronzo sull'ibridazione di una zampa umana/animale in meteoriti in caduta libera che puntano verso le strutture cilindriche industriali che si ergono dal suolo e delimitano il paesaggio artificiale del BSC24.

zaza’ is happy to announce its partici- pation at Basel Social Club with a solo presentation of Alessandro di Pietro. This year’s edition takes place in a new loca- tion and new format: a week-long event in the open air on farmland fields, amongst trees, and between the barns of Bruderholz, Basel.

The artist will present a new site spe- cific sculptural installation, which continues his ‘Fade Paw’ studies. The sculptures are studies on becoming monster: they question the othering of dis- abled bodies, which the artist often trans- fixes into more complex narratives that arise from his cinematic layering of ref- erences and distinct formal vocabulary.

The series of 4 sculptures titled “Fade Paw Studies,” presented for Basel Social Club consists of some bronze sculptural studies on the hybridisation of a human/animal paw in free-falling meteorites pointing at the indus- trial cylindrical structures-displays rising out of the ground and bounding the man-made landscape of BSC24.
